Postnatal doula support in Cheltenham and the Cotswolds

One-to-one support through the fourth trimester

Postnatal support

Life with a newborn can be joyful and overwhelming, often on the same day. The weeks after birth can feel like a lot, even when things are going well. Postnatal support gives you the space, rest and practical help to find your feet at your own pace.

I've been a birth and postnatal doula for 13 years, supporting families in their own homes across Cheltenham, Gloucester, Stroud, Cirencester, Tewkesbury and the Cotswolds.

How I can help

  • Feeding: support with breastfeeding, bottle feeding or combination feeding. I'm a trained Breastfeeding Peer Supporter.

  • The early weeks: understanding newborn sleep, feeding patterns and what's normal

  • Your recovery: nourishment, time to rest, shower and eat while I look after the baby

  • Talking it through: a space to debrief your birth when you're ready

  • Practical help: cooking something nourishing, a load of washing, tidying the kitchen

  • Signposting: connecting you with local feeding groups, specialists and services

Who it's for
Postnatal support suits first-time parents, anyone recovering from a caesarean or difficult birth, families without relatives nearby, parents of twins, and anyone juggling a new baby with older children. Whatever your situation, I tailor my support to what you actually need.

What a visit might look like
I arrive, put the kettle on and find out how your night was. You might have a nap or a bath while I care for your baby. We might work on feeding together, or I'll prepare you a nourishing meal and leave the kitchen tidy, and pop a load of laundry to help you stay on top of the laundry. You decide what's most useful each time.

Pricing

  • £35 per hour, with a minimum visit of 3 hours

  • 10% off packages of 20 hours or more paid in advance. For example, 20 hours costs £630, which could be two 2.5-hour visits a week for the first month.

  • Payment is taken in advance, and you can change a booking up to 24 hours before the session.

  • It's a good idea to book during pregnancy so your support is in place from day one. I can also add postnatal hours to any birth package.
